How perfect is this clutch?! This piece is lovingly handcrafted, constructed using luxurious Italian Vachetta leather, completely hand stitched, and features a magnetic flap closure. This beautiful clutch is 9" long, 5 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" wide (without the 'handle'). 
 
Vachetta is a specialty vegetable tanned leather which is tanned in Tuscany, Italy. The main 'body' of this clutch is made using 7.5-8oz (3-3.2mm thick) leather, while the 'handle' is made using 4.5-5oz (1.8-2mm thick) leather. Offering the same minimalist form and clever functionality as the original, this version is for when you want to be a little more metal. This clutch ALWAYS gets compliments! Please also note that the two studs on the thumb side of the hand piece lay almost flush with the leather flap. If you order this piece as pictured, you'll need to be mindful of these studs when you open and close the flap, to avoid scratching the leather (I wear mine as shown and don't find it to be a problem or hassle). Alternatively, I can make this piece without those two studs, for easier opening and closing - simply request the two studs be removed in the space provided at checkout!
 
To make this clutch, the bag pattern is all cut from a single swatch of leather for a perfect match. The underside and edges are burnished by hand for a smooth, supple feel (burnishing smoothes the rough underside of leather and gets rid of those little leather 'fuzzies'). The magnets on the front of the bag are hand sewn to the body under discs of leather. The magnets on the underside of the flap are glued using industrial grade leather glue, to keep the front flap clean and unstitched. Every detail is considered: to keep the sides of the bag from 'pooching' out at the top, I sew wire into the inside seam of both sides. 
 
The Clutch can be made to be worn on the left or right hand! Please write in your preference in the space provided at checkout. TIP: I'm right handed but prefer a 'left handed' clutch, as it leaves my dominant hand free for my phone, holding a drink, etc.
 
This bag is handcrafted from full grain leather; that means there may be small variations in the leather, and there may be some minor tool marks that are unavoidable. If you're looking for complete perfection, a machine made bag is a better choice; if you're looking for a handcrafted piece of art - you're in the right place!
