I  go to great lengths in my sourcing and operations because I care deeply about my work and it's impacts, for you, and for the environment.

Leather

Almost all of my work is made using Italian Vachetta leather, sourced from thoughtfully selected premier Tuscan tanneries. All are responsibly operated, family owned tanneries: Volpi Concerie, Conceria Walpier, and Badalassi Carlo. All are also members of the 'Consorzio vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale' (Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium).

The Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium regulates, preserves, and guarantees the production of vegetable-tanned leather made in Tuscany. You can find out more about the consortium and it's mission, here.

Coming Soon: Each Vachetta leather piece will come with a trademarked guarantee certificate from the Consortium; the certificate will include the specific tannery that produced the leather for each item.

Currently, I offer a limited number of pieces in oil tanned leather for  accessibility; this is also sourced from responsibly operated tanneries exclusively located in Europe.

Each product listing includes details on the specific leather and materials used for its production.

Hardware

Hardware quality is often overlooked, even in high end pieces, where you'll find cheap alloy metals and thin metal veneers. I source my hardware from a trusted supplier known for their solid, durable metal buckles and hardware.

Only metal Riri zippers are used in my work. Riri makes the world's smoothest zippers. They're Swiss-made and hand-finished.

Supplies

From burnishing gums to wax balms, the finest quality products are used in the process of finishing and constructing each piece. I primarily work with Japanese products due to their superior ingredients and results. All pieces are given a light coat of all natural balm just prior to packaging, consisting of just mink oil and beeswax.
